Autism Acceptance Month (April) is right around the corner. While I'm booked up for in-person events, if there are any interviewers or podcasters looking talk to an autistic writer/horror person, feel free to reach out.

Thank you for the action packed questions #HorrorWritersChat and @greethewriter.bsky.social!
My collection= guts, creatures, gore, action. I put the motion in the ocean of horror. Come for a swim, but keep your head above water. Actually stay out of the water. ;)

"I swing my axe
Blood splashes into my eyes
I f'cking missed, didn't I?
My foot, goddamnit!"
#HorrorWritersChat
Thatβs a good one! π

βI swing my axe. Blood splashes into my eyes. It burns. Burns all the way through my eyes, and I can see how this ends. Not with me standing victorious over this monster corpse, but with me being added to its legion.β
That makes sense. More realistic that way.
Fancy!!
My favorite type of monster is something like the Xenomorph or the titual beast from The Thing, and nothing like that has really appeared in one of my stories.
#HorrorWritersChat
Is that like peak? Haha
1000% right there with ya.
Yeah, same here. Both are elegantly designed in a way.
But the question is⦠are they fast or slow?
#HorrorWritersChat β super easy one: the Xenomorph. The perfect killing machine. Such a cool design.
Wrote a werewolf story in high school and we had to pick songs for the storyβs soundtrack. At the climax, I choose βFamous Last Wordsβ by MCR. Love some adrenaline haha.
I'd say most of my stories are in this vein. Gore, guts, action! My favorite archetype in the genre would be the monsters, because writing the monsters is fun! Creating the moment in which they're about to unleash is adrenaline! Turn on some punk rock and let the words riiiiip!

#HorrorWritersChat The character who kind of just makes things up as they go along and haphazardly stumbles into success or survival would be more accurate, and yes, I have written protagonists like this.
I really need to watch Train to Busan.
#HorrorWritersChat
Hmm⦠I keep thinking back to the Predator movies and I mean, Arnold is an excellent counter to the Predator. So, at the risk of sounding a little boring, 80s tough guy?
I also really like MacReady and Childs in The Thing too.
Havenβt written too many 80s action horror!
The first one is good and a classic, but the second one is just a little more interesting to me. Couldnβt probably skip to the second one if you wanted.
Hi, I'm Vivian, a weirdo who writes horror. My favorite piece of action horror is possibly the first scenes in the remake of Dawn of the Dead. But also, Bone Tomahawk, Train to Busan, Evil Dead, and many others. SO much good stuff!

Hi #HorrorWritersChat! Oli Jacobs here, cosmic horror survivor who shares his nightmares with youβ¦
The Thing is the first action horror that comes to mind. Not full on Arnie action, but when it does occur⦠Dawn of the Dead remake is also a shout.
Wait, does The Thing count as action horror?
#HorrorWritersChat
Flamethrowers are pretty action-y!
Almost picked that, but went Predator 2 instead!
Hi there #HorrorWritersChat! Iβm A.C. Bauer and I write what I like to think of as fun horror. Favorite action horror?Probably Predator 2. Love that concrete jungle vibe!
