Remember guys, you can’t afford a gas rig, or a coal mine, or a nuclear power station, but you can afford to put some cheap solar panels on your roof.

That’s why the fossil fuel industry has spent billions trying to kill renewable energy.

The dealer needs to keep you addicted.

Reaching net zero by 2050 ‘cheaper for UK than one fossil fuel crisis’ Climate change committee finds move to renewable energy would also bring health, economic and security benefits

Reaching net zero would cost about £4bn a year, @theCCCuk found

That's close to £100bn by 2050

Roughly equivalent to the energy-related costs of the fossil fuel shocks that followed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine

I'm reading the biography of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Fergie and the revelations are coming so thick and fast I'm struggling to keep up. I've barely finished being scandalised by one before it's onto the next

Transitioning to clean energy faster would protect the UK from world events that raise the oil price :-)

Germany’s Solar Boom Eases Power Costs as Gas Price Jumps Germany is seeing unusually strong solar power output in March, helping to cap electricity prices even as the conflict in the Middle East drives up the cost of energy worldwide.

So far I think RE9 is maybe the best? Except for RE1, I don't think anything will beat playing that for the first time. Imo Requiem takes all the best bits of the previous games and fixes most of the flaws. I also really like Grace

The vampires and werewolves just didn't do it for me. It was so out of kilter. I also hated that items were really hard to find. Glad they've fixed that in Requiem. I did love the final bit with Chris though

Humanity heating planet faster than ever before, study finds Researchers identify sharp rise to about 0.35C every decade, after excluding natural fluctuations such as El Niño

It doesn’t matter whether the rate of global warming is increasing. It’ll never cease to amaze me that people don’t care that it’s happening at all. It should be the most alarming thing ever.

I reiterate that the moral panic around trans people was a canary in the mine for a lot of things we are now seeing that obviously threaten democracy

I also want to note how supportive E3G has been, particularly my boss Ed Matthew. Having an employer that is sympathetic and supportive of health conditions makes a world of difference. It's also good for retention. You'll have to prize me out of E3G's UK energy team by my fingernails.

7. One of the best pieces of advice I got was from a friend with endo who said "you will figure it out." And I did. At first then diagnosis is scary and upsetting. But I found a way to manage symptoms and now I basically live a normal life. You can be happy, carefree and healthy with endometriosis.

6. You will be fobbed off a lot but keep the faith because there are good people in the NHS and you need to keep going until you find them. The state of women's healthcare is a disgrace and it will be an uphill battle but you will find people who will help and you will get there.

5. Watch your iron levels! I have semi regular blood tests and take OTC iron supplements. It's easy to get anemia from untreated endometriosis.

4. Once other causes (like fibroids) have been ruled out, request to be referred to a specialist endometriosis clinic if you can. I am now in one of these and it has been absolutely transformative. The quality of care has been excellent.

3. Request painkillers while you wait and try different ones until you find one that works for you. Mefanemic acid works for me, but there are others - naproxen or tranexamic acid to reduce bleeding. I also take strong co codamol at night.

2. When you go to the GP, tell them your quality of life is being affected and be specific about how. Take notes. If they refuse to order tests, tell them to put your symptoms on your record and a note that they refused to investigate. Familiarise yourself with your rights as a patient.

1. Trust yourself. Having periods that are so heavy you get anemia or so painful you're in bed all day is not normal. You know that and don't allow yourself to be told otherwise. It's not your age. It's not your weight. It's not stress. There is something going on that needs an investigation.

It's endometriosis awareness week. I don't talk about it that much but I have endometriosis. It's a condition that primarily presents with very heavy and painful periods, though there are many other possible symptoms. Here are things I want to share if you or someone you know suspects you have it:

The funny thing about politicians decrying a lanyard class is that you need a lanyard to get into the Houses of Parliament

Definitely the weakest part of the film but I think the dialogue between Michael BJ and the vamp makes it worth it. Plus the fact that it ends with the KKK attack and then the reunion in the 80s takes us back to the main ideas of the film
