Review of Project Hail Mary, loaded with enough heart amid its sci-fi adventure, with Ryan Gosling as charming as the gorgeous special effects.

With the Academy Awards being held this Sunday, I made my choices for the movies I want to see win.

Pixar's latest film is about protecting the environment by defying the destructive actions of politicians who will endanger lives for their own ego. Youβre telling me THAT won't be a tough conversation with your kids but two people of the same gender kissing will?
"We are not cooking chicken. We have no intention of cooking chicken. We here at Kentucky Fried Comfort Food are committed to not serving chicken."
Crenshaw should have done a better job crossing the Ts and dotting the...lower-case Js.
There was an error in his messaging. It was actually supposed to be "Peaceful President? No, more wars."
Review of Andre Is an Idiot, a fairly amusing documentary about coming to terms with death and the regret of not getting a colonoscopy.

Review of Dolly, a gruesome slasher that has some solid brutality and an iconic killer, but is missing a few thematic pieces to make it more appealing beyond the gory effects.

This looks good, but is this Green Lantern show really in the DCU?
*mentions Ch'p*
Yep, it's the DCU! I can't wait for this.
I made a video about the Baby Boomers' obsession with Minions. This was a very strange essay that melted my mind, and I can't recall where this idea even started. Anyway, I speak Minionese in this video.

I didn't notice until I looked today, but The Criterion Channel is now streaming the first season of Ghost in the Shell SAC and the Gunbuster movie for March. My kinda jam.

Review of Hoppers, a real surprise of a Pixar film, having a heavy heart for harmony in nature and a darkly comedic edge in addressing its absurdities.

Video review of Blades of the Guardians, an exciting Chinese action picture with characters as engaging as the fights. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFiS...
Coming up at the top of the hour, I'll be streaming live with reviews of Crime 101, How to Make a Killing, and Blades of the Guardians.

I also just find the YouTuber cameos and online references tiresome. You know how some movies are only revered by fans because they acknowledge references to past movies, TV shows, or video games? Smiling Friends is that, but for people who watch too much YouTube.
Yeah, I've gotten very tired of Smiling Friends being THE Adult Swim show when the block has far better cartoons now. It has become Rick & Morty, where it clearly signalled a paradigm shift in adult animation, but should bow out so the better shows can prosper.
Review of The Perfect Neighbor, nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary, and how it's a powerful case against stand-your-ground laws that have led to too many homicides.

Should TikTok videos and GIFs be on best-of movie lists? That's what the ridiculous Libertarian writers at Reason Magazine seem to believe, and they're the subject of my latest video essay.

Review of Blades of the Guardians, an absolutely thrilling wuxia picture from director Yuen Woo-ping, with plenty of thought put into its compelling characters and exciting sword fights.

Cap'n Crunch annihilates all of Napoleon's forces.
"Oops, all buried."
A three-way tie between Videodrome, Perfect Blue, and Eyes Without a Face.
Review of How to Make a Killing, a dark comedy of murder most meh where Glen Powell's charm isn't enough to save this underdeveloped story.

I found most of Space Ghost Coast to Coast on Sling.
Gundam statue from Pacific Rim Uprising.
Also, one week before this movie came out, Pacific Rim Uprising was released in theaters, which features another Gundam cameo.
Review of Crime 101, a film with a stacked cast that feels underused in an underdeveloped attempt to blow up a novella into a 2.5-hour thriller.
