Maybe I need to pull it into very small pieces for them. I do toss it onto branches of a shrub, not onto the ground.
You can put it into the compost too.
In spring I put it out for birds to use for their nests, but they don’t seem to take it.
If you don’t have them already, buy a set of linen sheets.

I agree. One of my favourite books and films. I published an article on the book.
I don’t know whether they’re still doing it but there’s a bakery here which compels all its employees to sing out in unison a “Goood morning!!” When a customer walks in. I found it creepy and my first visit was also my last.
