I had hundreds of comments one time, accusing me of using AI. I managed to screenshot my layers to prove my work was my own. I didn't want to, but after the AI checkers they used deemed my work AI as well, I felt forced. I didn't do any art for a long time after that, and I'm still a little nervous.
Not a novel, but the landstrider in The Dark Crystal...
Reading Halcyon Years by Alastair Reynolds, watching Fallout, and playing Cronos: The New Dawn.
Love the streetcar!
It you!
A great way to put it.
Yesterday, I read a novella to completion (Rose/House by Arkady Martine), started a couple of other books, and I'm now on volume two of the American Vampire comics.
It might be ADHD hyperfocus teasing me, but I hope it's my love of reading finally coming back to me after so long. We'll see.
Happy new years!
I'm packing December's prints and shipping them tomorrow. January's print is already here :)

It's #portfolioday? Time for a reintroduction!
I'm an animal artist from Northern Norway, usually found drawing wildlife (or pets, or animal characters) or out hiking. I also make (free) tutorials/booklets, and am working on a book on how to draw felines. Open for art questions β₯οΈ
Currently reading Halcyon Years by Alastair Reynolds, and the delightful Floating Hotel by Grace Curtis.
New Nature Dragon Postcards available in the shop ^^ We've wiggled the postage so it's now cheaper to buy multiple items, especially if you're from overseas <3

Think a new pinned post is long overdue!
I'm a self-taught Swedish artist with a backround in academic game development. I currently work part time as an art instructor with senior citizens while developing a tabletop roleplaying game.
Thank you. :)
I am not there,
I did not die.
I've been thinking about this piece from 2020. How does it make me feel?
It makes me sad, truly.
My mental health has been awful for a while now, but I was making progress to help myself... up until recently.
Masking is still a necessity, still my normal, and it brings me down.
Due a repost since I've not been here in an age! :)
Hello, all! Long time no see. Hopefully, I'll be a little more active here. Looking forward to seeing what you've all been up to.
I am still alive. At least that's what they tell me.
Time for a repost, I think. :)
Loved the game, loved the animation on Netflix, so I might actually give this a go. I haven't read a comic book in over two decades, and even then it was a rare occurrence.
Today, I am grateful for the internet and having access to informationβspecifically, comic book writing. Scriptwriting is quite different to what I am used to.
The prologue for Paternal is outlined (including the panels), so I'm planning pages 7-11 (Chapter 1, Scene 1).
Ugh. People.
Writing a graphic novel script has been far more difficult than writing a story. So far, I have outlined my chapters and scenes (fairly superficially), and now it's time to do the bulk of the work. I have many ideas for visuals, panels, etc., but chopping things up will be difficult... and fun!
Hereβs some Sarah Kiser art to make your Wednesday a little better.
After a rather strange day of enduring some new medication side effects, I have (superficially) outlined five chapters of the Paternal project. A truly unexpected feat.
Bless you. :)
Since it's handy to know AND it weeds out the more bigoted folk, I'd like to state quite clearly that I am a gay man.
That is all.
I feel that way about my Instagram.
These are adorable and beautifully crafted.
