#caturday
It's a cold #caturday and I just can't get this guy out of bed.
Late February and the #weather in #Iceland still can't make up its mind 🤷
Sunlight tells you what is there,
moonlight whispers what might be.
One lays everything out bare,
the other sets the shadows free.

Our ring camera caught our #cat watching my husband go to work 😿😻

True! Perhaps that's the easiest way to buypass tech plotholes. Just figure the human factor into it.
Working on fixing some logic issues in my dystopian tech thriller. I was feeling a bit discouraged until this reminded me that even the greats left a few plot holes 😉 Sometimes story wins over science 🤷

If Iceland is Greenland and Denmark controls Greenland, am I Danish? And if Denmark should suffer because Norway didn't give Donald Trump the Nobel peace prize then I guess Norway controls Denmark. Wait... does that mean that I actually got a Nobel peace prize? 🤔

A black cat used to visit and gaze in our window. All of my cats were afraid of him except for oldie Goldie here. We miss her ❤️

#Christmasday in the sub arctic region of north Iceland. No snow and a storm is blowing from the south. So weird 😲
Night during summer solstice vs day during winter solstice. #Iceland
Reading this one for the third time as a tribute to one of my fav authors who would have turned 56 today 😥 RIP Sophie Kinsella ❤️

The view of the north Icelandic sunrise from my writing office 🤩 Every day is an inspiration.

A cold #caturday and someone left for the beach early this morning 😸
Snow settles on the slender trees,
their branches stilled by Arctic breeze.
November drifts in soft and slow,
and wraps the world in Christmas snow.
A nice day for #writing ❄️
Yes, I think the guy next to him made a similar comment. Hence the glare 😅
Winter is coming at Iceland Noir 🤩 (and that muscle guy is probably toast) 😂

Truest words ever written in a post 😂🥴 Still love being a #writer 😁

Just arrived at Reykjavík for the Iceland Noir writers conference for the third time. First time I saw the moon being cradled by cloud-hands. Then a a volcano erupted. I wonder what this year will show me 🤩

At the south gate of the Arctic Henge, looking over my village. Should be writing but a brisk walk is supposed to stimulate the mind, right? 😎
All my life I’ve loved finding a new author, then realizing they have written many books 🤩 Such a joy! When readers tell me they’ve felt that way about my books, it reminds me why I don't give up in the tough world of modern publishing. What keeps you going?

I relate but I still wouldn't change a thing 🤷

October mornings in the sub arctic are inspirational. Plan is to write 5 pages per day for two weeks. Day two and so far, so good ✍️😉

Currently writing a psychological locked-room mystery, because apparently trapping people in their own heads is more fun than trapping them in a room 🤷 Clues are optional, denial is mandatory.

Unexpected heatwave in north #Iceland and life is good 😎
First snow of the winter in north Iceland.
It came at dawn in frosted lace,
A shy hello to every place.
Tomorrow’s rain will chase it through.
One day of winter passing through.

#Aurora from my backyard tonight 😍 A sign winter is coming...
The #irony of being a sci-fi writer stuck in a timeline so dumb no editor would buy it. “Too unrealistic,” they’d say, while I watch the news and think, yep, that’s canon now 🤷 #WritersLife
