I just donated to Wikipedia for the first time... I use it a ton. It almost always has good information. And I want to see it succeed against Musk.
I just dug up some info on BioArctic's BrainTransporter tech - almost 10x increase in drug in the brain! That's quite the image

The participants were all Latino - which feels like a first in a study.
I need to dig up the underlying paper to figure out how much of a change was really detected

Hoping to try out Boltz-1...we'll see how well it installs ๐ค

Super interesting! What is the dexterity test you're doing? Feel like I should start trying this too! Never too late to learn something new...
A gingerbread creation showing a bridge leading to what will be a town. A lockness monster weaves in and out of the water surrounding the town with a name tag of Jeff and a briefcase
Our #gingerbread is coming along. This year Jeff the #lochness monster is looking for a security job in the local town. Love that my little added a briefcase ๐
We've entered the time of year where I gain five pounds just by mixing up gingerbread...
A nice handy slide from the FDA sessions at #ASH24 of CAR-T therapy approvals to date!
The puppies were the best!!!
That's awesome! I am so happy for you!!!
And so begins the last session at #ASH24
Gonna throw it out there - if you're at #ASH24 and haven't visited headshot alley you're missing out on an incredible offer!
I think it was open till 2, it's right next to ASH central by those ping pong tables
Guys! #ASH24 had a #puppy pen!! Look at this little guy! Apparently 4 or 5 puppies have been adopted so far, which is nuts. I can't imagine going to a conference and coming home with a puppy (despite deep desire and begging from my littles)
Agree that mouse and human aren't the same. One of the late slides looked at n=3 healthy volunteers and exogenous bhb. There's a clinical trial open now about adding bhb to cart thera. So finding keto goes to BHB to better outcomes in mice to now giving humans bhb to see if you get better cart
Lower "block" is bladder, mid gray with splotches is liver (left) and kidneys (left and right). Blob above it on the right is heart*
* I'm not that kind of doctor so could be off on something and def open to better info
And 4/4. I am def not your person for questions - but anyone is always welcome to reach out to authors or presenters. I do that a lot for areas I research and always find people are more than happy to chat about their work. But of course, be kind to them :)
BHB enters the TCA cycle preferentially over glucose in CART cells
BHB enhances the oxidative phosphorylation on CART cells (data shows 5mm BHB has higher OCR than control
BHB enhances OXPHOS in peripheral T cells of healthy volunteers.
Same cartoon person with IV CART and internal tumor, keto diet bhb moilecule shows enhanced CART cell
Ignore my typos...its been a long day and I'm tired. continuing on 2/x
Slide - Keto diet enhances CART cell antitumor function via beta hydroxybutyrate
Shows patient with an IV drip bag full of CART product, and a tumor inside the cartoon body
Shows macro nutrient breakdown of various diets, and tumor burden based on diet post CART therapy
Shows keto enhanves CART19 proliferation via beta hydroxybutyrate
Slide deck from the #Keto and #Car-T talk at ASH today - for those interested. Going to try and post in a reasonable order, but failry new to bluesky...a thread... 1/x @donadickinson.bsky.social @bigmoke.bsky.social @tmask.bsky.social
Thanks for the reminder! I'll try and do better in this!
Thought you saw the ASH tag in the original post... Talk title is in full above with the presenter
I linked the talk title above. Also stated to another person I'll try to remember to grab the slides when I get out of my next few sessions
It was in the Plenary at ASH. I can grab slides when I get back from sessions (and if I remember)
