None! I didn't push my luck in asking. Especially as they'd initially forgotten to actually re-activate my account and it was still dead and hidden when I reset my password, logged in, etc., so I had to contact them all over again to say, "Hi, ahem, excuse me, I'm still dead over here!! Help?"

TY to everyone who gave me a chance here or who followed me originally just to support another ex-Postie. If we were not previously connected but now are, I'd love to follow you on my original account. bsky.app/profile/kafk...

The photos alone are drool worthy. Since I'm not a baker, I live vicariously through the photos or else through you guys when you get inspired, lol.

Caprese, mmmm. For the last week, I've been obsessing over burrata with tomatoes and smoked salmon on extra crunchy toasted ciabatta. Picked up the salmon yesterday, will pick up the burrata tomorrow.

πŸ˜‚ I really did try to give baby Apollo every healthy culinary delight until, alas, his protein allergies kicking in. The last time I consistently engaged in such elaborate gourmet meals was for my prior GSD, Zola. *I've* certainly never eaten as well as either of them lol. #Dogs #GermanShepherd #GSD

More of Baby Apollo being ridiculously adorable w/ his crazy, wonky ears flopping every which way.

The Universe deliberately made #GSD #puppies over the top cute so that hooomans didn't lose it at their cannibalistic, termite, landshark teething & biting. #Dogsky #Dogs #GermanShepherd #Photography

Pretty sure the ear semaphore in this case was about either the taste of doggy toothpaste or my attempt to brush his teeth as a whole. Baby Apollo tried to eat the finger brush, and my finger. As an adult, he pretty much still does the same when I try.

As I told adult Apollo earlier today, no-one ever achieved better, more complex "Wonky GSD Puppy Ears"β„’ than he did as a pup. They changed shapes & combinations seemingly HOURLY. Up, down, sideways, left, right, center, both. Just like a ship's semaphore system, too.

Photo of a 3-month old German Shepherd puppy sitting in faded pink towels in the back of a car that's lined in blue grey fabric. His dark coloured face has only one ear upright. It's a large ear for his small puppy head and face, and it is raised straight up, while his other ear flops down endearingly.

On this day in March in 2021, baby Apollo engaged in covert semaphore signaling w his right ear, possibly to foreign nations, possibly simply to his breeder & father in Michigan about my cuisine.

To whom was he speaking & about what? Wrong guesses only. #Dogs #GSD #GermanShepherds #Dogsky #Puppies

More of the imaginative 1870s Victorian era art work, design, graphics, and illustrations by artists Γ‰douard Riou & Alphonse de Neuville for Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. #Art #Artdesign πŸ“š #ClassicMono #GraphicDesign #SciFiArt

The artists featured "exotic locales, unusual sights, and flora and fauna which the heroes encounter during their journey, like the one from Vingt mille lieues sous les mers [20,000 Leagues Under the Sea] depicting divers walking on the ocean floor. They're in underwater gear that was futuristic for the time. Octopus & jelly fish hang about with other ocean creatures and oceanic flora. Everything is in black and white, and extremely detailed

Jules Verne took the world by storm, but 2 others also deserve recognition for the πŸ“š success.

French artists Γ‰douard Riou & Alphonse de Neuville contributed over 4000 illustrations, roughly 60+ per novel, of magical exotic alien worlds. Ex: 20,000 Leagues Under the World. #Art #ClassicMono #SciFi

Why Does Everything On Netflix Look Like That? Even if you don’t know what to look for, you’ll probably be able to guess if something was created for Netflix just based on a few frames.

Interesting reading, ND. I scanned 2 articles, skipping some technical jargon and bits, and the explanations make sense as to *why* they do it, but ... ugh. www.vice.com/en/article/w...

And

gearfocus.com/blog/netflix...

Badly alters the viewing experience, imo.

I'll look it up to see if it's anything like modern Star Trek lighting w its infuriating, endless, OTT solar lens flares right in the center 2/3rd of every shot.

I'm typing this thru gritted teeth bc lighting issues like ST lens flares are a sore subject. Completely ruins the viewing experience.

I know this is probably a terrible thing to say, but I can tell when a British show has been Hollywood-ified when everyone has lovely teeth.

I mean, when everyone -- EVERYONE in roles big & tiny-- all have shining, white American caps, not tea-stained wonky British dentistry, something is amiss.

TY for the heads up on the Inspector Karen Pirie series, ND. I just looked it up now. Good to know. I'll temper my expectations if I watch it, though frankly I think I prefer older TV series in general bc they had more substance, less gloss, & more episodes besides, lol. Like the old vs new Linley

Dalziel & Pascoe, you really are my people. I can't think the last time I met someone who'd watched that show along w/ Frost.

ND, soooooo glad you guys liked the OG Lynley. See how chaotic, shambolic, PRICKLY, and snotty their Havers is? Plus, the whole show is grittier & darker in both look & plot

11.03.2026 17:38 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Last night's drama is, I want you to know, atypical for the series bc, unlike other Bravo shows, Top Chef doesn't want reality show hysterics. Plus, the chefs have too many awards to risk destroying their reputation on such a prestigious, industry-watched show.

Pro Tip: never watch while hungry. πŸ˜‚

Shirazy, you too, my old Twitter/Cru friend! πŸ€—πŸ’™

I lost my old Bluesky account. They banned me after I got hacked. It's been hard to reconnect & find everyone again. My memory has become so terrible that I can't recall all the different handles & spelling. So I'm thrilled you found me again!

I've been wondering about Bluesky's finances for a while now, out of concern lest we need yet another SM home. Poor Post was the best home of all, and I still regret losing it.
