I hate leaving the hallway closet open, but my cat is obsessed with and will sit by the door meowing pitilessly all day until I open it. And, as any cat owner knows, me shouting "I like the door closed" will always lose to 30 straight minutes of "meeeeeeooooow!"

Goodnight from Lewis Bramwell, comforted by the thought that if he dies due to tripping on one of the hundreds of books on his staircase at least his ghost will have a lot to read. Goodnight from Gemma Cross, scrabbling to make a chalk circle around her bed. Goodnight from Hookland.
In this week's #Cybersecurity roundup:

-beware misleading Proton-FBI headlines (there are so many)
-Chornobyl's computer rebuild
-DEF CON vs. authoritarianism
-interactive XKCD
-much more!

I believe so, but no one ever tells me anything so I don't know for sure.

"If we had waited another year they would've had 11 Godzillas and a Rodan too!"
No one wants a goddamn flying turtle.
Thank you! What a creep.
"Human writing often includes some clunky phrases, like this passage from Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian, caused by the author's aversion to punctuation: 'As well ask men what they think of stone.'"
This is the stupidest g.d. thing I have read all day.

Thank you!

I read that they're putting together a new film of Damnation Alley. If it's as bad as the first one, I will personally set off a nuke in Musso and Frank's. Hell Tanner deserves better treatment. Also, the book was my introduction to Zelazny, so it has sentimental value.
I'm sure some MAGA asshole is going to try it.
I hope you enjoy the new one.
I never saw a copy until I moved to LA and found some international news stands.

I hope not. What misguided bullshit.
I really enjoyed 2000AD when I first read it, but it was hard to find and virtually unknown in the US.
I agree that the vehicle was completely cool. It's just everything else I hate. And Jan-Michael Vincent as Hell Tanner? Fuck off, pretty boy.
