Unfortunately, EU leaders are a little bit naive when it comes to Trump. The smartest thing in recent days was Merz' suggestion of a detente with Russia. Close ties with them, Ukraine, all of the Middle East (incl. Iran), India, & China, and Trump would be struggling with his isolationist policies.

Humanity tumbles towards nothingness. Due to the continued so-called 'material, social, & environmental progress' and individualization of humankind, the human individual becomes increasingly irrelevant & replaceable. Unless we start understanding the essence of human ontology.

I would agree but would refer to pastoral 'practice' rather than 'atitude'.
There's a widespread misconception that theory & practice are interlinked, whilst practice is linked with doctrine and theory with empiricism.
It's our actions, our practice, which give meaning to the doctrine we adhere to.
The idea is great, but how to implement it?
In the current global political environment the feasability is questionable (at best).
A way towards realization - various blocks (EU, Brics, US, and others) synergize further and form confederations. These then merge into one global confederation.

This article offers critical analysis of the debate between Karl Popper and Imre Lakatos about distinctive features of empirical science that allow to demarcate it from non-science and especially pseudoscience. Popper's demarcational proposition is explained as involving essentially two requirements, logical (to the theory itself, that it had potential falsifiers) and methodological (to scientists' attitude with respect to the theory, that they were willing to recognise its empirical falsification. Lakatos's criticisms of ‘Popper's basic rule’ that ‘criteria of refutation have to be laid down beforehand’ and Popper's reply to these criticisms, as well as Lakatos's alternative demarcational proposition, are discussed. The argument is made that although Lakatos's criticisms and proposition have considerable merits, he goes too far in claiming that it is OK for scientists to wave away or ignore apparent falsifications of a theory so long as the theory is successful in generating lots of successful unexpectable predictions, and generally understates the importance of the critical attitude for the development of science. On the other hand, Popper's falsificationist approach can be modified so as to accommodate sound points of Lakatos's criticisms and proposition while retaining the basic structure and critical rationalist character of Popper's demarcational proposition.

Unfortunately, 'climate change' has become a rhetorical tool for political purposes. Increasing human contributions to co2 concentrations in the atmosphere since the 18th century is measurable & should lead to the search for harmonic coexistence between nature & humankind.
Given the current trajectory of developments in quantum computing and AI, the book will likely require an update every 1-2 years for the next 10 years.

I'm aware of the debate only in the context of Classical Rhetoric & the 20th century rhetorical renaissance in Europe. It played also a role in medival European education, but that doesn't make it a global issue neither.

Although I would argue that such a debate could nurture realism. Provided, of course, rhetoric is not merely considered as the art of convincing others, but as a means of critical analysis as seen by Aristotle, and, more recently, by Chaim Perelman, Ottmar Ballweg, and others.
