For those who don't know, we never had two parties. I had 6 on my ballots for decades. When someone says "both parties", they are gaslighting people.

Actually, the elections took a big hit about 1980 when it became so corrupt that the League of Women Voters stop supporting the false debates. Candidates were being excluded, other than the corporate ones. Green, Libertarian parties blocked, etc.
