It's funny, I get posts on my discover timeline of people mentioning how this site is so much more positive than twitter but since the election a third of discover timeline is doomposting about the results, it's absolutely less toxic, but the positivity isn't here, it doesn't feel great

As somebody who isn't in the know of past US politics I'm genuinely curious as to when it happened before, because it sounds unprecedented to me but I may just actually be out of the loop on this one, still, I just trust in the natural order that politicians never make good on 80% of their promises

I'm gonna cross my fingers for you and assume that this is a classic case of politicians talking big, saying they're gonna do a bunch of shit and then not being able to do it or not doing it because they lied for votes, it's gonna suck but I feel something *that* extreme is unlikely, I really hope
