Ahh, my determination was that the tree you have in blue would be next to the camera/not visible. The one we see in the photos, to my eye, is further back by the schoolyard wall. Higher-res imagery in Google Earth also lets you match the street lights/power poles.

First up was our reporting about how DOGE operatives had arbitrarily cut aid programs, in some cases by literally clicking through a spreadsheet: propub.li/4cCsSKP

Dear Mr. President:
I write to apprise you of military action taken on March 6,
2026, against the facilities of narco-terrorists affiliated with
a designated terrorist organization. This action was taken at
the invitation of, with the consent of, and in partnership with
the Government of the Republic of Ecuador.
As you know, United States Armed Forces are engaged in
operations to protect the United States by combatting
extraordinarily violent drug trafficking cartels designated as
terrorist organizations. To combat these organizations and to
deny them sanctuary and freedom of operation, we have engaged
friendly foreign nations to provide limited operational basing
of combat-equipped forces. On March 2, 2026, I separately
notified you of changes in the global posture of United States
Armed Forces in the Western Hemisphere.
At the invitation and with the consent of the Government of the
Republic of Ecuador, United States Armed Forces partnered with
Ecuadorian Armed Forces to strike on March 6, 2026, the
facilities of narco-terrorists affiliated with a designated
terrorist organization. United States Armed Forces planned and
executed this mission in a manner designed to empower a partner
nation, degrade narco-terrorist activities, and minimize
civilian casualties. Although present for this partnered
operation, United States ground forces did not come into contact
with hostile forces.
I directed this military action to advance United States
national security and foreign policy interests and to fulfill my
responsibility to protect Americans at home and abroad. I acted
pursuant to my constitutional authority as Commander in Chief
and as Chief Executive to conduct United States foreign
relations.

Images published by Iranian state media show remnants of a US Tomahawk missile at a girls’ school in Minab.
It’s not possible to independently verify the provenance of the remnants from this imagery alone. But Bellingcat previously detailed how a Tomahawk missile hit a structure next to the school.

β€œIran has some Tomahawks.”

Gonna need a factcheck on that one.

Must have missed the FMS announcement for sale of TLAMs to Iran.

This is not a fatwa. It is a response or β€˜ruling’ on a personal query that a follower of Sistani in Iran has posed to the local representative. It was not issued by Najaf. By contrast, a fatwa is a general edict to all followers.

DoD obviously knows where it conducted TLAM strikes and could have acknowledged responsibility for this tragedy even while it investigated the attack.

And this is not AI writing. No AI screws up syntax like this. A human being wrote this, and another human being read and approved it.

The issue here has nothing to do with a failure to mention what caused the death, as I see some people suggesting. That’s not unusual. It’s a nonsensical arrangement of words. If you don’t see the problem with the syntax here, you are as bad as the people who wrote and approved this

It appears that possible DHS agents or bounty hunters? (still unclear) fired a weapon towards protestors yesterday in Minneapolis. They were seen leaving the area in a white van with a fake business name and disconnected phone number.
