๐Ÿงช DFT meets Bayesian inference

Computational IR takes hours.
Experiments take minutes.
They still donโ€™t agree.

We combine DFT + Bayesian inference to improve vibrational frequency assignment and make theoryโ€“experiment comparisons more reliable.

Try saying this next time you talk to a colleague, any gender:
โ€œYou are sharp, rigorous, and your ideas changed how I think.โ€

Weโ€™re in science for the ideas, not to be called โ€œvery organisedโ€ or โ€œinspiring.โ€ Compliment the mind.

Grandma Mosesโ€™ 1943 โ€œSugaring Offโ€ is a busy scene set in a snow-blanketed valley with lush green mountains in the background. It depicts the stages of maple sugar production. A woman bends over a boiling cauldron of sap as children watch. A man with an ox-sled loads and feeds logs into the bright orange fire. Neighbors bustle around, going about chores as the work continues.

Bluesky isnโ€™t about popularity, itโ€™s about getting a half dozen likes on an esoteric post about the carbon opportunity cost of agricultural land use, and one mercy like on a cringe climate-themed lyrical rewrite of a song popular among 35-49 year olds

Happy Birthday, Robert Bunsen! ๐ŸŽ‚

He's best known for the eponymous Bunsen burner, which was actually constructed for Bunsen by instrument maker Peter Desaga. It was essential to the discovery of caesium and rubidium through their emission spectra.
