Another terrible jobs report this morning.
Canβt wait to see how Reps. Feenstra, Hinson, Miller-Meeks, and Nunn bend the truth to defend policies that have weakened our economy this time.

Navy blue background with a light blue line across the top and bottom of the graphic. At the center of the top line thereβs light blue quotations. White text at the center reads, βThe loss of Declan Coady, a young Iowan serving his state and country, is devastating to all of us. We can never be grateful enough for his service and sacrifice. The IDP familyβs thoughts are with Declan's family and friends as they grieve this painful loss. God bless all of our troops who continue to put themselves in harm's way in the coming days. We all hope and pray for their safe return. ββRita Hart, IDP Chair".

Uncertainty is squeezing Iowa farms from every direction. Instead of standing up for our farmers, Iowa Republicans in the House voted to defend tariffs and keep pressure on our rural economies yet again.
With high costs and unstable markets, itβs no wonder that farmer sentiment is falling.
Washington Republicans claiming to support farmers isnβt enough. We need action.
A statement from IDP Chair Rita Hart:
In 2026, for the first time since 1968, Iowa will has an open Governor and Senate race. Thanks to these Iowa Democrats and your work all year, the country knows Iowa is ready for change.
In HD 7 & HD 100, volunteer firefighter and speech language pathologist Rachel Burns and small businesswoman Nanette Griffin sent strong messages with great campaigns.
@senatemajority.bsky.social started the year winning a Trump +21 district with Mike Zimmer. @dreyforiowa won in a Trump +11 district to break the GOP supermajority. Senator-elect @HardmanForIowa ended the year winning 71% to become Iowaβs first Black woman state senator.
@iowahousedems.bsky.social elected Angel Ramirez, Iowaβs first Latina representative.
From Clinton to Sioux City, Iowa voted for change in 2025. In 6 special elections, Democrats overperformed the 2024 results by an average of 22 points!
Navy background with a white border and an image of the Iowa State Capitol building at the bottom. White text centered above reads, "Iowans have voted in 5 legislative special elections this year. Iowa Democrats have over-performed by an average of 21 points in every election."
Good news.
White paper textured background with a headline from Iowa Capital Dispatch that reads, "Shortage of rural doctors won't end anytime soon, report says". Below, text from the article reads, "For at least the next dozen years, rural areas will continue to have only about two-thirds of the primary care physicians they need, according to a report released Monday." At the bottom, there's a black and whit image of rural Iowa.
Rural Iowa needs representatives who will focus on policies that make it easier for physicians to stay and serve in our communities, not drive them away.
Across the state, our county parties stepped up too. Johnson, Floyd, Page, Clayton, Black Hawk, Grundy, Mitchell, and Woodbury County organized local food drives, while Ringgold and Crawford County made $1000 donations to their local food banks.
Over the weekend, we saw the power of community in action. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our food drive and donated to support our neighbors. Together, we delivered 985 pounds of food and $5,101 to the Food Bank of Iowa!
Happy Veterans Day, Iowa!
Thank you to all the brave men and women across our state and country who have sacrificed so much to protect the freedoms we all share.

This comes as no surprise when Miller-Meeks continues to side with billionaires over Iowans and gut health care.
