Punch, a Japanese macaque at Ichikawa Zoo in Japan, spent months depending on a plush toy as his only source of comfort after his mother rejected him at birth. Zoo caretakers worked patiently assimilate him into the group. When an adult female showed him affection, he left the toy on his own. 🐒🥹
