8.) Before you post: Check with our map to see whether it’s already geolocated. If you located an incident which is on our map already but contains longer footage of the same incident or the incident from another perspective, we would appreciate you informing us.

5.) Use timestamps for the located incident. Example: You've located a burning tank. Either include the timestamp, in which the tank is visible (1:10) and/or the sequence of the footage your geo is referring to (0:51-1:22).

1.) Reply under the post containing the footage or quote it. The original source URL (e.g. from Telegram) is necessary & important. If your source comes from a platform like TG, we would appreciate an additional upload to BlueSky.

- If possible: Rotate the satellite imagery you use to verify your location in a similar way as the footage you want to prove.
- If possible: Combine both images you're comparing into a single image, so everything is visible at a glance.

- Use colours that stand out when compared to the feature in the footage as well as the imagery you're referencing (satellite, other footage, ...). Example: When the area you want to draw on is dark green, dark green would not be a good choice as a colour.

- If you want to highlight a structure with a line, draw slightly beneath it so the structure/feature is still visible.
- Use different colours for each feature you're comparing.
