Every minute ICE is out there publicly defending kidnapping and using a fucking preschooler as bait is a moment they are losing. I refuse to believe that there is an America that wants this shit.

When they tell you it doesn’t matter, when they tell you a fucking app can do art you say, if it’s that important, why the fuck do they want it so bad? The answer is because they think they can debase everything that makes us a little better, a little more human. And that, in my book, and in my life, includes monsters.”

Finally got around to reading Our Soot Stained Heart from @stipanmorian.bsky.social, Joni HΓ€gg, Ropemann, and Hassan Otsmae-Elhaou, and I am genuinely blown away by just how good it was. Don't sleep on this one, people!

I started on ADHD meds for the first time in September. I took a day off today, &... the difference between my medicated & unmedicated brain is *substantial*. It is quite the shift to realise you've been asked to cope with life in a state akin to being bonked on the head by a coconut daily.

I had an incident a little over a week ago that triggered a lot of bad memories, and my brain just could not stop thinking about it for the next couple days afterwards. Trying to be productive in that time span was near impossible for me

So honored to have a Bleeding Hearts 1 variant from @shadex6.bsky.social, one of the all time greats. Just look at how much work was put into that -- what a privilege! And that's on top of the perfect main cover from @stipanmorian.bsky.social & another brilliant one from legendary Jae Lee!

Why should I write better when a machine can do it for me?
Because actually no one can do it for you, because your voice is unique among all the people on earth. Siri never petted a horse's neck. Alexa has never been ghosted by the captain of the football team. But you have lived, your heart is beating, you have suffered, and you have something important to say. It's a human's job, to use words, and whatever job you give to a machine, that part of your brain goes dark. Maybe it's worth it when it comes to remembering phone numbers and directions, but when that part of your brain that uses words goes dark, that's a vast area that's very close to your soul. Don't let some internet platform convince you that what you have to say and create isn't worthwhile. Words are the echo of your soul. Honing that echo matters.

this iconic advertising copywriter named Kathy Hepinstall Parks died over the weekend and I wanted to share something from her website I thought Bluesky would like

So, I was laid off by my job this week after 13 years.

Not only that, but it happened as bills from my recent heart attack-related medical visits come due.

Because of that, I'm doing a big sale for SKTCHD/Off Panel related things, so now's a good time to subscribe if you can...because I need it!
