I also enjoy the very slight update to the front-end of the car on the right - those chunky '70s dual headlamps just won't do, better touch that up to give it the sleek lines of a 1990 Volvo.

I am always amused by Family Circus' eternal post-war, somewhat squarish dress attire for the kids.

First, that's a decent observational joke about bratty kids and their limited sense of chivalry.
