After over 20 hours I just finished my blind playthrough of Donkey Kong Bananza
What a special video game. It is a MUST PLAY if you're into 3D platformers.
Definitely one of the best games of the year!
I gotta say, after how weirdly spineless Captain America: Brave New World was for something trying so hard to market itself as a political thriller, it’s honestly refreshing that Superman (2025) has like… an actual firm, blatant and relevant political stance that serves as a major theme
Watching Superman reminded me of watching The Batman: any nitpick or criticism I could offer is outweighed by the clear passion displayed for the source material, the earnest attempt to showcase what makes these characters and this world important and why people care so much. Unapologetically itself

Gunn’s Superman looks to be dealing with basically the same ideas and conflicts that the DCEU one tried to do except this time Superman acts like a person and not an idea
fave thing about that trailer is how Clark goes from being calm to angry when he has to justify saving people. something that's secondary to humans when it comes to politics
it's really cool they are showing his struggle to navigate earth's customs & politics as someone who wants to help people

This reminds me of the Christopher Reeve Superman movies and, if you know me, you know I am incapable of giving a higher compliment. It looks like the exact intersection of a James Gunn movie and a Superman movie. I cannot wait.
