"Is 40ish chapters too many" I wonder before being bowled over by the realization there are people online who have written 150+ chapter things that are still ongoing. So. Maybe 40ish is okay.

Also I realize that other text post comes close to stating an age for Solis, but he doesn't have one because Clone Problems are complicated. He's just "an adult". "How old is his Saint?" Don't worry about it. I had to pick a number in order to be funny, though.

This is from a Ch16.5 WIP and is probably my favorite part. 51 is like "lmao would be cool if you died for real. who said that."

At the beginning, he has such a shaky idea of what sex between two men could entail that I think it would be embarrassingly vague.

In case you doubted my commitment to slowburn and “lore play before foreplay”, I’m 250k words in and despite the alien being the main POV character for most of the story, you, the reader, still don’t know anything about bug dick.

These are all really good, honestly, even just as things to roll around in your brain.

To be honest, I'm still pretty burnt out on this OC setting. It was all I talked about for close to 10 years and I really do feel like I've said everything I could say. But Maria matters to me a lot and if I can only pick one, she's my favorite OC.

I've only posted the two of them together on this account twice and yet both times it was coincidentally a horny joke. Smh. I need to rectify that.

Speaking of Astra, I’ve been deliberately seeking some opinions and I’m feeling better after some critical discussion. I’ll make a post about it once I finish getting thoughts from my current conversation.

Oh god, a friend asked about my Soul Eater AU fic for Maria/Esther, so I dug it up and it’s from…2020. I am not brave enough to read that. Also, 6.5k, which is like. Shorter than my Astra chapters are these days.

I have two sets of screentones: really simple ones I got from a free pack that look a lot like oekaki, and more professional / dimensional / textured-looking ones from True Grit. I like using them for different things because the vibes are SO different.

It's frustrating, though, I get it! I've had some really bad experiences in the past, too, that seriously damaged my perception of the artists in question. Anyway, it's not you; it's a whole weird melange of issues. But it still sucks.

I think this often comes from a pipeline of student -> artist, with no customer service job (or other typical job) experience buffer between those things. Lots of folks just don't really understand how to talk to people or what to communicate, for a variety of reasons, probably...
