I love the story of Blodeuwedd because people have taken a tale ostensibly about a treacherous and conniving wife and completely feminised it, using it to examine themes of feminine agency, autonomy and gender. Good going for a woman whose entire story only takes up like a page of text

Such a beautiful examination of 19th century Wales. Full of wonderfully described personalities. And there is honestly nothing funnier to me than an englishman learning Welsh and travelling the country like a sais Tom Bombadil going "hoo haaa bet you didn't expect an englishman to know Welsh!!"

Rereading one of my favourite ever books: George Borrows' "Wild Wales". It's such a pleasant, humorous and engaging read, and Borrows' jovial, almost (benevolently) oafish personality bleeds through every page. If anyone is interested in Welsh history then I can't recommend it enough
