How To Build A Low Cost Air Filter (From Washington University) What you’ll need to build: box fan, 20x20 furnace filter, and optional duct tape or bungee cords. Step 1: place filter on the back of fan (air intake side) Step 2: Use duct tape or bungee cords to secure the filter Step 3: Place in an area away from obstacles and turn on Step 4: Keep all windows and doors closed to prevent new smoke from getting inside.
Time to share this quick air filter solution for wildfire smoke once again. All you need is a box fan and a home air/furnace filter that you can get at pretty much any hardware store. Optional is some duct tape to get a good seal. Stay safe! #LAFires
