Meta-analysis of loneliness among individuals with dementia: the estimated prevalence of loneliness was 42.7% (95% CI 33.8–51.5%, I² = 90.4, P < 0.001) among individuals with dementia.

1- Around 43% of people living with #dementia (PLWD) experience loneliness.

Not surprisingly, living alone and having depression put PLWD at even higher risk of loneliness.

Loneliness also predicted conversion from MCI to dementia.
