Bei diesen Suborbitalflügen ist sicher auch eine Menge Marketing dabei. Aber letztlich hat Blue Origin mit der (kleinen) suborbitalen New Shepard viel gelernt, was sich auf die (riesige) orbitale New Glenn übertragen lässt. Eine Boosterlandung beim zweiten Versuch wäre sonst wohl nicht gelungen.
