I don't understand why the conservative crowd hates Juneteenth so much. Just think of it as another summer holiday. Invite your loved ones over, go to the beach, have a cookout, drink beer. There are literally no down sides.

I hate that my employer has office festivities for Juneteenth. I don't want a pizza party and free smoothies, I want the day off.
Some buddies and I are riding our bikes.
I did the Arlington 500 ride today, and it was an awesome experience. I also hit a century PR, less than 7 hours of elapsed time. #Bikesky
If the foundation of your personality is that you love bicycles and hate capitalism, then I think we can be great friends.
Drop bars for sure.
Bike fitting details are so interesting, and I often struggle to understand them. Some people will size up because they have long arms, and some people will size down because they have long arms, and some people will get a longer stem because they have a long inseam. I just smile and nod. #Bikesky
Power can be compared amongst different riders and conditions. Energy is different for everyone. But also, I'm not an expert on cycling performance metrics. I just think power would be a better metric because accurate power meters exist, whereas calorie estimates are just rough estimates.
Calories are a measure of energy, and energy is the product of power and time. That means a high number of calories can be burned with a long ride even if the rider's power output was low (like a long ebike ride) or a short ride if the power output was high.
I know that I won't be able to do this any time soon, but I've been daydreaming all morning about a custom bikepacking bike build. #Bikesky
It looks like there's plenty of space, and they don't come close to causing harm to anyone. Let people have fun.
I think power output would be a better metric than calories burned. Also, you should consider the weight of the bike and the rider. Your ebike's total weight is 290lbs, and your regular bike's total weight is 250lbs, so I don't think weight is the big difference maker in this comparison.
Another important year in consideration of this trend is 2011, which is when car manufacturers needed to meet fuel efficiency standards in proportion to vehicle footprint, which incentivized them to market and build larger vehicles.
The first iPhone was released in 2007.
I went bowling yesterday and scored 150 in one of the games. I'm pretty proud of myself.
The managers and directors at my job will be like "don't hesitate to ping me if you ever need anything, anything at all," and then they'll never respond when I ping them.
With all the latest Caleb Williams news, American Kings: A Biography of the Quarterback has become a must read later this year. #Booksky ๐๐
The Cubs have played well the first 1.5 months of the season, but I refuse to declare them a good team until at least the All Star break. They're still so flawed.
I wish work had a summer vacation. I'd pack all my things and ride my bike across the country. #Bikesky
Shame obviously doesn't work, and it never will. This is a problem that needs to be solved with fines and tow trucks.
I would recommend taking creatine every day and favoring your training splits towards the lower body. Do lower body 3-4 days per week and do upper body 1-2 days per week.
I'd recommend targeting certain parts of your body through your training, not through your diet. Also, you'll never accidentally build muscle. It just doesn't work like that. Muscle is built with deliberate effort. If you don't make that deliberate effort, then you won't build muscle.
I'm not an expert. But I use creatine, and I like it. If you're pretty active, then generally speaking, creatine will help your performance and recovery.
I agree. There's a big difference between riding a bicycle for transportation and the activity of cycling. We need to work on closing this gap, or at least find a way for both sides to act as advocates of the other.
The Pahalgam attack was obviously horrible, but India did not need to launch missiles into Pakistan today. They're just adding fuel to the fire, and armed conflict is bad for everyone.
I went for a run this morning, and it didn't suck. In fact, I kind of look forward to running again later this week. #Fitnesssky
Awesome character. The bubble gum hint he dropped for Wax was incredible.
People that @ everyone in the group chat are so annoying.
I just finished Shadows of Self, which is the fifth book in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series. I've been buried in this series since February, and I'm enjoying it so much. #Booksky ๐ช๐๐
I've never experienced a life situation in which I thought that AI would make it better. AI not only sucks, but it's inaccurate and dehumanizing.
If I see these in Chicago, then I'll definitely try throwing them in the river.
