One of the things they wanted to do what democratize the network. Fewer huge accounts, spread the wealth. It just made for more bots getting power that can automatically manipulate and learn from the algorithm. Its now all just computers talking to computers.
You used to have to follow people to see any content. Now the algorithm spoon feeds you what it thinks you like. This reduces human connectivity because of smaller networks and fairly temporary interactions. It’s one of the reasons social media has gotten so much worse.
