Marks the death of Herge, creator of Tintin, and perhaps one of the most important comic book creators of the 20th century. Everyone should at least once spend a couple of days in Brussels. I allways try to fit a visit in to some Herge monuments in Brussels.
I saw a business with an art exhibition on its premises using an AI poster advertising an event. I just couldn't comprehend why
It's depressing the amount of places in our neck of the woods using AI posters. Not just the drama and theatre but sports, local business even bookshops and I saw an art gallery aswell awhile back.
I was disappointed that this was unavailable in the Republic of Ireland. It would be great to see it as a weekly feature though.
The Funday Times returns today in The Sunday Times. Sadly not in the Ireland edition of the paper 😢
In the post today, the first of 3 or 4 Action Volumes that are due to collect all the issues of the 1976-77 weekly comic. I like collections like this and I would love to see more of them especially UK comics.

Really like the look of this book. I like the behind the scenes/history of Transformers fandom in Generation Mechs. It also has a little bit of Nick Roche so it can kinda go with my Rochian Collection.
80 Year box set of Dutch/Flemish comic strip Suske En Wiske. 8 decades 8 books with a few stories from each decade. Though they are the contemporary versions of these stories not the original versions. It will take me some time to get through this collection. Handy introduction for a beginner.
Great to see another Beano Presents released. Bananaman Volume 2 with work from @nedhartley.com @n-auchterlounie.bsky.social Wayne Tholpson & Alan Ryan. Need to check my Beano's to see what issues the strips are from. Some great references including some nod/winks to Batman and Superman.

I have a complete run of that fortnightly partwork that was released years ago in newsagents. It has some problems but cost so much I can't justify buying a new collection.
Spotted this on FOC with @bigbangcomics.bsky.social Have some of the Dutch volumes and it's a highlight in Eppo Stripblaad. Its a great Western series highly recommended people pick it up. We could do with more Dutch comics translated into English.
Two years ago I made an appearance in the weekly 🇧🇪 Belgian comic/bande dessinée Le Journal de Spirou as the subscriber of the week. Achievement Unlocked.
Three of the finest comic shops in Ireland. All have their own unique style and its worth visiting them all if you have a day trip up to Dublin.
The best decision in recent years I made was to travel to comic book exhibitions and museums around Europe and learn more about European comics but its left me with an exhausting amount in my to read pile. I use Google Translate to read them which takes time. I'm swimming in Comics at home.
My thanks for the Blake & Mortimer Complete Collection in 2025. I look forward to the rest in 2026 alongside Lucky Luke. I hope for an english Spirou Complete Collection some day.

I've seen quite a few UK/Ireland comics over in Belgium 🇧🇪 in Dutch particularly in Standaard Boekhandel which is great to see and also its handy way to learn a language when you have the English editions.
