Most weight loss drug users are middle aged females and pay for them. So likely main use is for cosmetic purposes. Have worked in health promotion and motivating people to change lifestyle who do not actually feel ill is very hard. Drugs designed to alleviate that feeling make it even more difficult

Cannot find research on changes in health lifestyle related to weight loss drugs but Lancet research from 2024 found when patients come off the drug they regain much of previous weight pretty quickly. So reckon your answer is correct- at least in majority of cases

A poor diet and lack of exercise impacts health in many ways other than just obesity so important patients also improve their diet and take more exercise when placed on weight loss drugs. But do they?
