Today I'll be in T-Mobile Park watching the team I've lived & died with for 45 years play the most important game in its history. That's amazing. I'm terrified & excited. If you'd said in Spring Training the M's would be playing on Oct. 20 to go to the World Series, I'd take it. Let's do this!

It's not just that Big Dumper is a great nickname. It's that it goes against the usual lazy baseball nickname practice of just adding an "er" or "s" or for every Rodriguez the 1st letter of their 1st name. Big Dumper is quite a piece of art.

Today Seattle University held our Racial Equity Summit. The speakers & breakout sessions were outstanding but the mere fact we held a RACIAL EQUITY SUMMIT in this environment was amazing, inspiring & so awesome & is another reason I'm proud to be a Redhawk.
A bunch of folks showed up to the Bothell City Council tonight to speak against a potential resolution affirming Bothell as a welcoming place for LGBTQIA+ people.
Here was Bothell Mayor Mason Thompson's response.

The defense in this Florida/Auburn game has been absurdly active and physical, and the shot-making has been crazy. Great game as we go down to the wire.

Leading to Opening Day I watched a bunch of baseball movies, the last a few hours before going to the M's game. My wife asked how many I watched. I counted it up & it was 42! If you know baseball you know why that led us to go "Whoa!" & me to decide it's a sign the M's are winning the World Series.

Awful news. John's books are master classes on how to do great reporting and then turning them into compelling stories on subjects that may not be clearly engaging initially. One of my favorite writers, and a real loss.
Whether it's donating to a cause, going to a meeting or a march, not letting hate or disinformation go unchallenged, any little thing matters, especially when you're feeling overwhelmed by the weight of everything. You can't solve everything but you can help do something.
I haven't seen Anora, The Brutalist, Nickel Boys or I'm Still Here so I can't give a complete opinion but of those I've seen, my Best Picture rankings:

I liked Flow better than any of them besides Wicked.
"Fraud, waste and abuse" is going the way of other words that have completely lost meaning, like "woke", "socialist", "unconstitutional" and other words the right uses to justify their destructiveness.
