223,000 neurodivergent children and young people in Scotland can’t access their legal right to an education is the white text. Parents are as excluded as their children and young people. We aren’t included in the discussion despite the legislation.the mood is low after yesterday. Without changing the fundamentals of environmental and training nothing will change for our families. More and more are going to be excluded.

We need #calums law. Teachers require statutory training to come in line with other professions like nursing. Restraint and seclusion are damaging practices illegal in other settings like nursing homes for very good reasons. Children need same protections in law. @bethmorrison.bsky.social

PABSS - PABSS REPORT 2025

A 3 year old wee girl was restrained in a nursery because she did not want to come inside after "playtime" was over. She was sent home covered in bruises.

The head said "You have to accept that when a child is restrained, there will be injuries!"

A child who has developmental delays and functions as an 18 month old toddler was strapped to a chair in a Scottish School!

His little brother who is Autistic was shut in the cupboard at the SAME school!
