I am a huge snob about animation. For example, I can’t watch The Simpsons. It could be the smartest, tightest, funniest script ever but the animation style kills my ability to enjoy it, or even pay attention.

Caleb is captain material. This week’s episode proves it.

It's so ironic how often bigots talked about being "unpersoned" because people did not want to socialize with them. You know what's really an "unpersoning"? Having no driver's license in a rural area. Losing the one ID you need to vote or pay taxes or open a bank account.

As of tonight, licenses of trans people across Kansas are being invalidated en masse, enabling the overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. It’s often said you never know when you’re living through history, so let me assure you: that’s what’s happening now.

it took an expensive, coordinated effort & a lot of people saying “this doesn’t matter” to get from a bathroom ban costing one state $400 million & a gubernatorial race to “trans people must turn in their documents which become invalid in a few hours or face fines & potential jail time” in 10 years.

My cat, Saja, is curled into a corner of a red armchair. She is a calico with medium long hair and is very pretty. Next to her on the chair is a plush milk with a happy smiling face. It is a replica of an animatronic at the farm to table store Stew Leonard’s.

Saja says you should look at her and her friend, Milk, and no one else tonight.
