Do people actually move home just to get their kids into a better school? I’m sure the quality of the school is a consideration when buying a home. I’d be interested in understanding whether school quality is the main driver for people to move though.

Isn’t the other side of the French Alps (Italian side) pretty full of snow? I think it snowed a lot over Christmas in Piedmont.

The DLR is coming to Thamesmead.

The extension will boost connectivity, unlock the delivery of thousands of new homes, and drive economic growth.

Great news for Greenwich and South East London.

I’d imagine they are paid significantly less. I would be incredibly - but pleasantly- surprised if they get 13 euro an hour on average. There’s no minimum wage, so pay will likely vary a lot by location.

I think that the tone changed since the election of Meloni. It shifted from being focused on ‘invasion’ and critical of government inaction to one focused on Meloni trying to do something but being prevented by others. I don’t live in Italy anymore but this is my perception observing from the UK.

Very unlikely to happen. Would be incredibly surprised if the quorum was to be reached.

We've just published a map to show London's population by country of birth, using the latest Census.

London is a truly global city, with residents from every corner of the world.

Nearly 100 different countries (94) have diasporas of 5,000 people or more living in London.

To add to the above, AS Roma lost the Europa League final in 2023, Juve was in the semifinals the same here. AC Milan lost the CL semifinal against Inter. I also think that since the start of the Conference there’s always been an Italian team in the final. That said, agree serie A is not great.

*The age of London’s population – how it’s changing & what this tells us*

London’s population is in general younger than the rest of England

This is largely because of the huge number of young adults in the capital.

1 in 3 Londoners are 20-40 y/o, compared to just 1 in 5 in the rest of England...
