Watching the Labour front bench's attempt to restrict trial by jury makes me wonder whether Keir Starmer and David Lammy understand England at all. They are smashing up the fundamental freedoms of this country as if they were foreign invaders
It's incredibly brave to have done this and incredibly sad that it is needed to make this point.
Trial by a jury of peers is an inalienable right that must not be taken away under any argument. It's disgusting the government would use this argument to try to do just that.
