It was great to see you in person in Barnet! Thank you for not bullshitting and for giving me a dot of hope 💚

#IsItOK to ask why The Last Leg was helping Penny Mordaunt launder her reputation? Thank fuck for Vittorio Angelone m.youtube.com/watch?v=ivfI...
@zackpolanski.bsky.social I can now breeeeeeeeathe 💚🥹💚
@zackpolanski.bsky.social is my hero - he deals with all these ridiculous questions so well!
Dad is becoming a shell of a person and there's nothing I can do about it.

Restructuring this chapter about the socialisation of research participants into their roles has made me feel like I am creating Frankenstein's monster. But today it feels like I dropped the monster and all the parts are now scattered and I don't know which bit goes where. #PhDLife
do you know what would help!!!!!!!! living in a society that lets people experiment with their gender without treating it like the most important thing in the world!!!!!!! letting people get it right or wrong without politicising their decisions!!!!!!! just being chilled about gender!!!!!! aaahhhhhh
It's not often we get to report on hopeful news
Alaa Hamoudi won in the EU's top court against Frontex! This opens doors for many survivors of Frontex pushbacks.
@bdeeb.bsky.social tells how he reported on Alaa's case back in 2020 with @bellingcat.com. And how this evidence ended up in court.
But in a particularly amusing manner!
😱
This chapter is taking forever to write! As well as editing what I've written so far (22 cases), I've got to write up 8 more cases and the conclusion. And then edit it several more times... And my draft literature review needs a lot more to be written up since my focus changed. #PhDLife
We are very pleased that Linda has decided to join the Greens and welcome her to the party!

Some encouraging news from the Spanish government, which plans to regularise the status of around 500,000 undocumented migrants. Lots of people having to live under the radar is not good for anyone. This recognises their humanity. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Thanks, Lauren!
Does anyone know if this will extend to care leavers who are seeking asylum (i.e., former UASCs)? @danielsohege.bsky.social @laurenhstarkey.bsky.social @rachellsw99.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

"'Sisters: From Kabul to California' builds from the girls’ own contributions... This is not a film about refugees; it is a film made with two brilliant young women and their family, centering their voices, creativity, and leadership from a young age" www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y35...
At just nine and seven years old, Zahra and Masoma Mohammady stood before U.S. Marines at Kabul’s airport, clutching their little brother’s U.S. passport. Watch their story in a short film. www.routedmagazine.com/post/sisters...
Living in a world where this is allowed to happen is intensely horrible. I don't know what to do so I'm just putting this out there. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/n...
Surely you just made this up to mess with us?!
If I had the energy, I'd ask, 'You call that a heavy blanket?', in an Aussie accent before sharing a photo of the weighted blanket my nephew, niece, & their parents got for me. The year before, nephew got me stress balls. So much for trying to hide the depression and anxiety from him and his sister!
One of my dad's amazing carers was just asking if there is anyone who can oppose the current government and I said - hoping with every sinew - the Green Party.
If you aren't following @laurenhstarkey.bsky.social I would seriously recommend doing so. She is one of the best people I know talking about both Albania and human trafficking, especially child trafficking. Someone absolutely worth paying attention to on this.
Surely when you've got a country with low rates of asylum granted, you should take more time rather than fast tracking the cases to make sure you're not making sweeping assumptions.
Please rest now! And thank you, I have bookmarked this to read tomorrow.
I need to scream into the abyss. Someone please hold my arms so I don't fall in. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨
