When I was on WIC during my first pregnancy (21 years ago) they also added extra checks for use only at farmer’s markets for locally grown fruits and veggies. The city where i lived at the time had an amazing public market and most of the farmers would load up the pregnant lady with the vouchers!

Yes. Something we have in my state that I really like is “double up food bucks” which allows people on SNAP to get $2 of fresh fruits and veggies for every $1 of SNAP spent.

Also thinking about the protein formula used by people with PKU.

Or the packaged “7-free” cookies and frozen pizzas my daughter’s friend who had multiple severe allergies used to take to parties so he could eat something kind of like what the other kids had while knowing exactly what was in it.
