Prairieland has to be the most significant event now to show how tilted into unveiled fascism the US government has become. Solidarity to every single person who didnβt snitch and is forced now to endure the political theater of a fascist power hoping to use them as examples to quell resistance.

Image of Jennifer Keelan-Chaffins, an 8-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, crawling on the U.S. Capitol Building steps. She is wearing blue striped jeans, a blue t-shirt, and a white and red scarf wrapped around her forehead. Text on the image reads: "I'll take all night if I have to" - Jennifer Keelan-Chaffins, Capitol Crawl
Purple background with the words "Capitol Crawl" written in large font at the top and bottom of the image. Text in between is: On March 12, 1990, over 1000 protesters came to Washington D.C. to urge Congress to pass the Americans with Disabilities Act. Part of this demonstration, included the Capitol Crawl, in which more than 60 activists abandoned their mobility aids and crawled up the 83 stone steps that lead to the Capitol building. The Capitol Crawl was a direct physical demonstration of how inaccessible architecture impacts people with disabilities; and is cited as one of the most important catalysts in passing the ADA.
Today is the 36th anniversary of the Capitol Crawl, when 60+ activists with disabilities crawled up the steps of the Capitol building to catalyze the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. REI walked away from negotiations with the @reiunion.bsky.social, refusing to pay union and non-union employees the same wage, unacceptably demanding union employees take less. Now they're proceeding with benefit and wage cuts against union members. If you're a member of REI, tell them to eat shit.
Yup!
I got credit card points

#Journalists thereβs a story bigger than #SantaFe here. β¬οΈ Santa Fe is the capital of #NewMexico, a state critical to stopping Republican Fascism. Yet the City is unconstitutionally burdening mass protest of Trump and his ilk.
