Something really cool has been the population structure of these individuals, I’m hoping to be sharing the results in a paper soon!
Yes! We take a section from the centre which we then drill into repeatedly (like the rings on a tree trunk) to get samples which give us insight into what they’ve been up to their whole life (e.g. movement/feeding) 🦈
