#findsfriday the astonishing, enigmatic Hendy Head from Anglesey now in Oriel MΓ΄n - found in a ploughed field overlooking the Menai straits and thought to be Late Iron Age. Did this Celtic god oversee the a Roman attack on the Druids and an end of the old ways? #celts #ironage #druids #anglesey

A view of a Cromwell tank in Polish markings
A side view of a Cromwell tank
An unusual entry for #mosaicmonday but youβll forgive me given my employers! This tank is depicted in the floor of the @tankmuseum.bsky.social in Bovington, Dorset. Dad trained here in c1943 (probably in a Cromwell) - visiting the museum with his son years after must have been very odd indeed.

A stained glass window showing a man in cap and blue shirt with white trousers holding a rugby ball on the left and a man in blue blazer and cap with white pads and red sash holding a cricket bat on the right.
On an incredibly rare day where Scotland face England at both rugby π and cricket π this is probably the only opposite ever get to post this rather splendid stained glass window in Edinburgh of Scottish representatives of each sport. #heritage
