βYou abandoned them.
Because of you, all that remains of them is a photograph.β
@peacenowisrael.bsky.social
You abandoned them.
Because of you, all that remains of them is a photograph.
We will not rest until every hostage is back.
We must stop the war. We must stop the suffering.
Better have pains of peace than agonies of war.
ENOUGH!
Welcome back Tal, Omer, Eliya, Omer, Avera and Hisham!
Better the joys of return than the agonies of abandonment.
We must end the war and not stop until every last hostage is returned and reunited with their loved ones.
They all deserve that. We all deserve that.
β€οΈβπ©Ή
We will remember you and carry on your path. Now, and always.
Shalom, Chaver.
He embodied everything that our country should have stood for: a man who believed in peace, equality, and the rights of all people in this land. His values were those of a true heroβseeking coexistence and a better reality for all, regardless of nationality or religion.
Odedβs memory will continue to inspire and guide us as we strive to build a future rooted in peace, equality, and dignity for all.
His life reminds us that it is never too late to honor his vision and work toward the peaceful future he so deeply believed in.
Farewell to a man of peaceποΈ
Oded Lifshitz was one of the founders of Peace Now in the western Negev. But Oded was also a father, husband, grandfather, and a founding member of Kibbutz Nir Oz.
He was the salt of the earth.
π§΅ππ½
Oded Lifshitz was a man of peace.
He worked tirelessly for a just and lasting peace alongside Palestinian partners, yet he fiercely opposed the right-wing governmentβs funding of Hamasβonly to be kidnapped and killed by them.
Oded Lifshitz was right.
May he rest in peace.
βWhat has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.β
500 days.
500 days of war, abandonment, destruction, displacement, suffering, violence, bloodshed, pain, uncertainty, death, torture, danger, tears, fanaticism, extremism, and hatred.
500 days of hell.
500 days.
Enough.
On the left: Peace activist Hagit Ofran earlier today on her way to plant trees in Massafer Yattaβtaken in for questioning by the police.
On the right: Jewish terrorists on their way to a pogromβzero arrests.
This is what it looks like when our fascist and messianic police serve the settlers.
Update:
Shabbat is about to begin, and they waited until now to question Hagit. The bus driver was also taken in for questioning along with her. By the way, Hagit observes Shabbat.
The questioning is over, but Hagit is still there, waiting for the bus driver to be released.
π¨π¨π¨
Ben-Gvirβs police are taking @hagitofran, who has a broken leg and is on crutches, for interrogation in Hebron.
The reason?
We planted trees in Masafer Yatta.
Apparently, for the Israeli police, joint actions between Israelis and Palestinians are grounds for arrest.
Today, an ad in The New York Times:
The only answer to Trumpβs plan:
The Jewish people say NO to ethnic cleansing.
Deep appreciation for all the Jewish leaders and individuals who signed this.
βIn 2024 I counted 59 new illegal outposts,β said Mizrachi from Peace Now, referring to all of the West Bank. βIt was a record year. A new one every week. Before, you might see between zero and 10 to a dozen in an average year.β

May his memory be a revolution.

He would stand by those who need him, always fighting for justice and peace.
Right-wing terrorists will never succeed in silencing our voice.
We will keep walking in Emilβs path, steadfast in our pursuit of peaceβalways forward, always toward peace.

He would stand against the delusions of ethnic cleansing, against innocent Palestinians being killed, and against the injustices faced by so many.
He would stand against our criminal & messianic government, against the closing of bookstores, and against the rise of fascism.
42 years ago today, right-wing extremist Yona Avrushmi murdered activist Emil Grunzweig during a Peace Now demonstration.
If Emil were alive today, he would be marching to end the war and bring every hostage home.

Khirbet a-Taybah was erased.
Now settlers are moving in. This isnβt just policyβitβs annexation. It must stop.

This is part of a broader strategy:
displace Palestinian communities, seize their land, and build Israeli settlements to entrench control over the West Bank.
Read the testimony from @btselem:

This is how the occupation expands:
Palestinians are forced out, their homes demolished, and then settlers move in with full state backing.
Look here the before and after of Khirbet a-Taybah:
π¨
The Israeli government is approving new housing units in Khirbet a-Taybah, near Tarqumyaβon land where a Palestinian community was forcibly displaced after Oct. 7th.
First, they erased the village. Now, theyβre building a settlement in its place.

A red line.
And now, back to reality.
A statement from Peace Now:
Gadi Mozes, 80 years old, was kidnapped by Hamas, abandoned by our government for 482 days, and survived to return alive.
A hero. A living legend!
This is the promise he made to his captors in Gaza before his release:
If Gadi doesnβt give up on peace, how can we?
Peaceβnow, and always!
Better have pains of peace than agonies of war.
Look them in the eyes.
For 484 days, they endured war, terror, and suffering. Only a ceasefire made this possible.
Our hearts burst with joy for Yarden, Ofer, and Keithβyet ache for those who wonβt come home.
Agreements save lives.
Weβll keep choosing life.
