I miss the simple and predictable life. As much fun as Tokyo could be, it’s not what I’m looking for at this stage of my life.

So my partner and I have been living in Okinawa for about a year. Right now I’m in Tokyo on business. I looked out the window from the train, sights I’ve seen everyday for years. Then walked to get to the office and realized I miss Okinawa and how tired I was of the big city filled witg people.

Me & my partner have been together for 9 years & we’ve kinda ran out of ideas for gifts. We’re well into our 50’s & we have “things”. So we decided to do something together on our anniversary & such instead. Like taking trips, having nice meals & it’s been great. You never know what inspires you.

I don’t wear my ink lightly, especially in this country (Japan) where many people are still under the misguided impression that tattooing is an act of rebellion, societal menace of some kind. Whatever they may think it’s been around in Asia & Oceania literally for thousands of years. It’s culture.

1. Lose visceral fat - not quite lol
2. Gain muscles - yes! 💪🏽
3. No injuries - my elbow still hurts but better
4. Eat better (less sugar) - definitely yes but sad lol
5. Don’t stress yourself out - for sure
