Waiting for your song to come on the radio and then recording it onto a cassette, so you’d eventually have a mixtape where the first 1-3 seconds was missing from every song.

The gene whisperer: Looking forward while honouring Indigenous genetics’ past For Indigenous Australians, yarning is a ‘deeply cultural way of learning, sharing and connecting’ – a free-flowing sharing of stories and experiences that helps build strong relationships.

“When someone says, ‘We're going to help you make an autonomous decision’, they're usually talking about one person. My understanding of autonomy is collective. So... it's not going to be informed, because I need to consider those around me too.”

Colonial notions of privacy vs #CulturalSafety.

A recent paper in the BMJ (by Ying et al) is a good read - with worked examples, tables and code to help calculate an appropriate pilot sample size. It also stresses the importance of aligning sample sizes with the objectives of the pilot study 6/6

It is first important to stress that pilot and feasibility studies are *not* about detecting intervention effects. They are about exploring key uncertainties ahead of the main trial 2/6
