God I feel this so hard! I’m also disabled, though not in ways that require the use of AI. Your point is spot on that AI is becoming more ubiquitous and that’s especially tough for disabled folks who don’t want to interact with it.

You assume I search with Google… Also using enshitified tech in the past is no good reason to not switch to less enshitified tech or to try and opt out of harmful tech altogether. I think you’re missing my point of “fuck AI regardless of who makes it.”

I mean, personally I’m opposed to AI for other reasons beyond privacy and surveillance. But how would you feel about a provider using AI to manage their interactions with you and the booking process which involves handling of your PII?

Totally agree even if it’s self hosted in a country that has better data privacy. Still not worth it to me for all of the same reasons that AI is not worth it to me generally.

I’m still using it, though I’ve never been a frequent user. There’s a server I’m on that a friend started as a Twitter alternative back when Elon first bought it. The other server is for event planning. Both have kinky topics. I’ll stay until they require ID then I’m out. Not sure of alts yet.
