I'm losing patience with this as I get older. I hate when I say something about how I'm in a lot of pain today or if I wince or say "ow" going up the stairs and someone asks, What happened?
The privilege of assuming something has to *happen* in order for you to experience a pain flare!
This is how we should do all hazard communication.
You cannot tell voters (accurately) this is a fascist regime that is hell bent on destroying us - let alone rely on it (as Dems are) as your GOTV while also voting yourselves to enable the regime.
I agree with this and it's something for which community groups should already be developing concrete plans. I think reparations are already due.
Anecdotally, in my experience, most white Americans aren't aware of the perpetual foreigner stereotype as applied to Asian Americans and many don't think there's anything harmful about it.

In 1990, when Congress created a protection for migrant children subject to abuse, it didn't anticipate backlogs would get bad enough that beneficiaries would wait years for a visa, and so never thought to explicitly bar deportation for winners.
Today the BIA greenlit deportation in that situation.
