a bunch of friends holding hands
lol
would make a great album cover though
man, I watched only a part of one video, but their content sucks so bad. What I saw was presented like a pitchdeck template as well.
This is a truly bizarre way for anyone to engage with this hobby. I'm supposed to be looking at board games, not feel looking at financials for timeshare condos
Started even simpler than that - some years ago now, the podcast app I started using had charts, but they were fake - they were curated by someone working there. They put J-R at the top of the comedy chart above all the actual funny things. None of these naturally became popular "because good"
These wars are claiming people from our community -- claiming our friends. Remembering Soroush.
I forget where but Todd Glass had a fun little rant about how annoying it is when people “give their fingers a little bath” in public/on planes etc and it stuck with me
The shivering aisles is what I call the freezer section at the grocery store!
(me watching someone play elder scrolls games and pretending I didn't clock hundreds of hours in the past)
-anxiously looking around for an autosave to re-load while my team gets destroyed-
I watched your video(s?) talking about it in a superbooth context iirc?
lol this shirt image. a+
partly related, I still like using my DFAM to make weird noises but man do I hate constantly having to step through the sequence 7 or 8 times or whatever to reset it.
*that's what our journalists brought us. I don't think it would ruin social media to let us edit our posts, but this only drives my point home. I omitted an entire word, don't let versions of me make the news in my PJs or whatever.
This is what it was like when somewhat important mainline news orgs started going "... and that's our journalists brought us, but what do YOU think? We're gonna dedicate 1/3 of our broadcast/issue to show your unqualified opinions and reactions and layoff our entire investigative journalism staff"
The not-pronounced-monster and not-pronounced-villain lawyers in Strip Law were maybe the bit that made me smile the most.
good stuff.
sometimes you get a three for one where they're wonderful and face a bit of pressure and then get bought out by someone who wants to make it their personal blog with zero idea about what journalism or ethics are!
I never played the original(s) so I don't know what DNA is in the new extraction thing, but I remember it looking neat
I think I am burnt out on extraction shooters. From a distance, I am amused that Marathon looks like an entire game built out of 1999 DnB rave flyers though.
Teardown is one of those video games from the past few years that I think was underrated and delightful, and I oft fantasized about what a multiplayer mode would be like. Delighted to hear one is nearly out.

50% of memories from the genre, for better or worse, = Lots of being stuck between towns with a poisoned character who will die no matter what you do after loading a save ;)
(only remembering Ravenloft: Stone Prophet + Betrayal at Krondor atm)
I miss the sort of grid-based immersive RPG games and that's probably the biggest draw for me. I know there are others but it's hard to find a "good one". This might not be what I'm after but at least it's something one foot in the genre that will appeal to other sickos in my life
JOE ROGAN: Have you met Cartman?
DONALD TRUMP (interest piqued): Oh yes.
hanging this in home where other people would put a live-laugh-love thing
Very important the cops respond to a planned snowball fight--however, what happened next is both unprecedented and beyond the pale.
calling this time stamp "DE9: Closer to the Baby Bottle" (iykyk)

Meanwhile Canadian libs/centrists are fine with any number of successive liberal pms handing trump control over borders and third safe country agreements and will cave on any number of human rights and public services, but will swear they’ll go to war with the us over an insult to our brand
Delightful poster
now do the rest of the surveillance cameras.
"you can't log off until you log on"
-dialogue for a new character in HACKERS (1995)
"no but other guys are just fooling around, I'm really serious about my work, we're not the same!" - right, so you're better at a dice game than some guy who didn't care about it. I guess we should call you an engineer!
I saw some guy in the wild call himself a "prompt engineer" this week, mad people wouldn't take 'em seriously.
imagine being mad that nobody will treat playing farkle w/ a computer ghost as seriously as what everyone else does to make everything you've ever enjoyed in your life
Reinstate our teammates now! Kickstarter is retaliating against our union members for our legally-protected strike action in October 2025. Four union members have been laid off or forced to leave our union by leadership, despite clear business needs for these members' roles. Email Kickstarter's CEO and tell him this is illegal and unacceptable! e@kickstarter.com
