"My dear please.....let me take you to dinner. We both know you haven't eaten much while I was away. Come to dinner with me."

"You're done working for the day. I'm taking you out for dinner. I know you have been busy while I was away."

He winces slightly at the look she is giving him and fiddles with his fingers nervously. "I just wanted to say....I'm sorry for how I treated you before I left. You didn't deserve that."

"You have always been my angel. Since the day you first came here. Please look at me."

He winces slightly at her manner towards him but he knows he deserves it. "il mio angelo.....please....look at me."

After watching her for a moment more he finally clears his throat to get her attention. "il mio angelo...."

It takes him a moment to locate her and when he does he lingers in the doorway simply watching her work for a moment. He had nearly forgotten just how beautiful she was. Seeing her sweet angelic face he winces slightly as he recalls just how cruel he was to her.

A heavy sigh escapes the Cardinals lips as he enters the Ministry. After yet another boring set of meetings in Rome he was happy to be home again. It was his greatest hope to see @sistermelo.bsky.social and apologize to her for how he had spoken to the angel before he had left.
