I always thought the lyric in Jesus & Mary Chain's "Just Like Honey" was "I'll be your plastic toilet" and the earlier line was "her honey dripping, behind" but apparently it's "plastic toy" and "beehive." My misheard lyrics really shift the meaning, but I think I prefer them.
This reminds me my old band Cock Robot played as Rock Robot to a 5th grade class. They were allowed to stand up and dance for one song, then Q&A where they had many questions - and critiques! Then we played to the 3rd grade, much less impressed because they just got back from the zoo.
So I was in this band The Scurvy Pirates. We wrote pirate songs and performed in character as if real pirates. Got booked for some weird gigs as a result. Also played a Whole Foods grand opening and roamed the store in character confusing & frightening shoppers.
Always love the Tampa DIY approach: played shows under an overpass, in a storage unit, parking lot of an abandoned pizza place. But strangest experience was Staten Island Ferry terminal. Imagine playing on stage to 1000 ppl waiting on a ferry, every one determined to completely ignore you.

A kid tried to pull the infinite sequence of "why?"s on me, but I said "Look, I've played this game out to the end and it always comes down to entropy and the 2nd law of thermodynamics" and that shut him up, partly because he could tell I was ready to launch into a very detailed explanation.
I sometimes recall a science article I read analyzing the most mechanically efficient methods of human locomotion. Unsurprisingly they found walking and a medium jog, then mention "a third method of locomotion that nobody uses." WHAT? No further explanation! I still want to know what it is!
Both of these options sound better than anyone who has EVER played the Super Bowl. I cannot comprehend people who hate anything that is different or interesting.
Celebrity actors must love Super Bowl ad season. They get to show up somewhere for 15 minutes, say a dopey line like "So buttery!" collect a few hundred grand, and their image gets pasted into some nonsensical, overwrought concept that nobody will remember or know what it was selling anyway.
I've still got the CD somewhere, but somehow it looks even better in j-card format.

For those who know Jude the dog, his lymphoma returned. His doctor believes he's got more life in him and can get a 2nd remission w more treatment. The first weeks of that are roughest & need frequent walks, monitoring, and love. Touring is out for now, so... good time to book Radio Shock in NYC !
I have to miss INC (Int'l Noise Conference in Miami) this year. I'm sad to miss all the fun and excitement, but I have a sick pet who needs daily care right now. I'll always love INC's spirit of radical inclusivity and hope to return next year!

Where would a person buy audio cables and/or adapters in the modern day? Back in the day I'd just hit a Radio Shack. But now? Need a couple cables to go from 1/8" stereo to 1/4" mono.
Just flew to Seattle to play some shows & discovered that United left my checked bag back in New Jersey!!! Luckily I'm a little paranoid (justifiably it appears) and carried my sequencer and guitar, so I can still do a set of simplified old-school songs. But yeesh the stress. Not cool, United.

A lot of Threads is just people (or scammers or bots, etc) finding ways to game the algorithm. So unless you've done some cultivation of yr feed, you just get various flavors of engagement bait.
It amuses me greatly to discover that everything my dad always told me I was wasting my money on: records, comic books, band T-shirts, now even CDs and the Transformers toys I asked for as a kid - has proven to be a totally solid investment.
