Honestly, I am absolutely disgusted by academics suggesting that AI can do the reading and writing for you. At a certain point, what you're bragging about is fraud. And in a broader sense, what you're contributing to is the erosion of knowledge and the destruction of trust in academic publishing.
If that ain't the truth
Tumblr user nitewrighter: Me: I don't get it. I thought I was doing a lot better than I was a few years ago. I'm like 10 times more on top of things than I used to be. How does everything feel terrible now? The Tiny Me in OSHA-approved Hi-Vis Gear Who lives in my brain and pulls all the levers: Boss, it's the fascism. You're completely gunked up with cortisol due to the fact that your entire daily life is now underscored with a haunting awareness of the rapid erosion of your rights, dignity, and any and all social safety nets, and you're also bearing witness to the most vulnerable people immediately being persecuted. This creates a natural stress response that basically means you're going to continue having memory and organizational problems, as well as emotional imbalances. Me: BUT I HAVE A BULLET JOURNAL AND I MEDITATE NOW. Tiny OSHA Me: BOSS, THE FASCISM.
I like grants! I like how they carry things that are very heavy with their mouth*finger to earpiece*
I'd like to file a complaint @neilshubin.bsky.social
And all because a fish decided once they wanted to see the world and grew legs
What do you mean I have to publish another paper after I am done with this one. That doesn't sound right. That sounds like a pyramid scheme
That, too!
I always tell my mom that it's like going to a wedding: you see people you haven't seen in ten year, some people have kids now, some have less hair
Super interesting paper tbh π§ͺ

Cis people need to pay attention to the way they communicate this. They freely admit that after all of their research, they came up with zero evidence that HRT was harmful.
Then they banned it anyway, claiming their inability to find a reason is a reason in of itself.

I think we should bring back being able to grab that person by the shirt's neck and throwing them into the nearest large body of water
You're heroes
In animals with large genomes, finding cis-regulatory elements can be very challenging. Enhancers can be located tens/hundreds of kb away from their target promoters. We face this challenge in Parhyale, with >3 Gbp genome.
We just published a preprint describing how we are tackling this problem. /1
They are tho
money is a made up concept so I'd say, hypothetically, these people would be bad parents but only in the philosophical way
