Although I would honestly rather encounter these than the shit just lying there un”flagged” & ruining shoes/days. But it’s truly weird behaviour. DO wish city would expand trial public compost bins around city & collect the poop in those. I’ll carry my dog’s poop well past standard bin to use those.
Too lazy to carry! Sometimes think they’ve accidentally dropped it if in random spot if feeling generous. Esp in winter as bags slippy in glove hands. Occasionally wonder if bin so full it fell out-if near bin. But usually I’m less generous & as dog owner worried I’ll be found guilty by association.
