Unfortunately, my experience as an intersex person was surgery being forced onto me when I was a baby with no consent given. I didn’t have a voice on the matter until adulthood and informed consent came much later. It shouldn’t fall to us either, but we are often the casualties.

Oh hi new followers! I promise I do more than yap. Just trying to take a step back this year and draw at a more relaxed pace and draw specifically for myself. I have a wip I may show off soon and some cool ideas in the pipeline. 🐲💜

I had a former friend who labeled their BG3 character as intersex when they had both sets of reproductive organs and could get pregnant. Had to gently tell them that wasn’t what intersex means.

This goes for chunks of the BG3 fandom I've seen too. I know most of y'all are probably well meaning but I've had enough intersex friends to be wincing at some of the things I've seen described as "intersex"

Among other things, partial transition is NOT the same thing.

Absolutely. Saw it in the BG3 fandom too unfortunately. Even from a former friend. Doing my best to educate, but it’s exhausting sometimes.

Just to clarify, I think intersex characters are great and I welcome the representation whole heartedly . Just do your research first please.

Grinding my teeth to dust as I write this... I am begging the #ffxiv community to stop conflating #intersex with gender identity. The intersex umbrella is not a secret third option you can casually slap onto your OC. Especially when a variety of gender nonconforming labels already exist. Thanks.

Also doesn't help that Nintendo's business practices have been so shitty lately.

One of my resolutions is to finish 20 books by the end of the year. I'm trying to rekindle my love for reading and actively make time to do it. I've completed 1 and 3/4ths books so far. Half His Age because I couldn't put it down and Novice Dragoneer because I really like E. E. Knight.

It's stupid, but when I was a child, I had a lupe on neopets named Kaino, Kai for short, that I would roleplay with my friends. I loved the name so much that it carried over to other beloved characters, Kaishi, Kaidenz, and Kaidus. It was always there, waiting for me to break out of my shell. 💜

I was thinking I’d ask who she could recommend.

I acquired new insurance and I'm dreading having to find a new doctor again. The first doctor I found here was such a hard lesson in ignorance and lack of bedside manner surrounding intersex healthcare. My current doc has a focus in trans health and has been so great. I don't want to give her up. 🥲
